15A - Figuring Out Buyer Behavior
15A- Figuring Out Buying Behavior
Interview 1:
The first person I interviewed stated that they mainly shop the deals when choosing groceries and household products. They enjoy buying quality products, but at this point in their life, low price is a higher priority than high quality. They tend to use coupons and search around to find the best deal possible. They stated that many products they buy online now instead of in store, because they can find better deals through websites like Amazon. This interviewee stated that they don't often think back to past purchases.
Interview 2:
The second person I interviewed stated that they like to shop at the lowest price, but don't mind paying more for a higher quality item. Instead of shopping at just tradition grocery stores and convenient stores, this person likes to shop at local farmers' markets and other local offerings. They like to be an active member in their community, and support small businesses. They stated that they understand that supporting small businesses often comes at a premium, and they are okay with paying that.
Interview 3:
The third person I interviewed stated that they appreciated convenience when shopping for groceries. They work full time and are a full time student, so they don't have a ton of time to shop through tons and tons of options at the grocery store. Usually they just pick the first brand that they see, regardless of price or other factors. When thinking back to their past purchase history, they regret purchasing products in a hurry that they ended up not liking or not using at all.
Conclusion:
Overall, this segment is very scattered. While some people consider price, others consider convenience, and then others consider additional factors as well. Overall, every interviewee had one problem with their current grocery shopping habits.
Hi Emma,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that every interviewee has their own problems such as one take conveniency as a factor but one consider the price as a factor...It's normal that everyone has their own thought and preference of buying goods. Thanks for sharing!
